Eunice Esther Bentch Lehman was born November 2, 1937, in Camden County near Edwards, Missouri. She passed away on October 24, 2009, at her home near Versailles. She was the daughter of George Ezra and Minnie Opal McDavitt Bentch. She moved to Morgan County northeast of Versailles in the Providence/Bethel community in 1945. Eunice graduated from the eighth grade at Providence School and was a graduate of Versailles High School in 1955. She attended Draughn’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri.
Eunice married a farmer, Quintin Garber Lehman, in August of 1965. They were the parents of two sons, Rodney Brian and Brent Kevin Lehman.
Eunice accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl and was baptized at Mt. Zion Mennonite Church. She transferred her membership to Bethel Mennonite Church in 1965, and has remained an active member. In her younger days, she served as Primary Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, MYF sponsor, and as Church Secretary. She was active in the Women In Mission group.

Eunice enjoyed nature and being outside. She was a member of the Grow & Glow Garden Club and was a Master Gardener.
Her hobbies included reading, music, gardening, baking, and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. It would make her day when the family came on Wednesday night for fried chicken. She always had time or would make time to baby sit for her grandchildren.
