Alma Lehman, age 86, of Versailles, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born April 14, 1922 in Morgan County, Missouri to Frank A. and Linda Lehman.

She attended school at Prairie Valley and high school in Versailles graduating in 1941. She attended college at C.M.S.U. in Warrensburg graduating in 1953. She retired in 1978 after teaching 33 years in Moniteau and Morgan Counties.

Her parents and two brothers, Lloyd and Leonard preceded her in death. She is survived by several cousins and many friends. She accepted Christ during teenage years and was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church. After retiring from teaching she volunteered for Mission Work in Oklahoma and Arkansas until 1983, when she returned home to care for a cousin. In 1992 she returned to volunteer work at Source of Light Mission in Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Rev. Paul Wulff officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery near Versailles. Casketbearers will be Cary Featherstone, Charles Featherstone, David Hall, Stanley Garber, David Alexander, and Kenny Aeschbacher. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
